Okay… I’ll admit it! Resume photos aren’t the most exciting type of photography, however William (my good photography buddy) and I decided to host a resume shoot.
We did it for two primary reasons: it’s a good way to support our quite expensive hobby and, most of all, it was a good challenge to develop our people skills and try to get the best pictures for a wide range of people, that maybe isn’t too comfortable in front of a camera.
We pooled together our equipment, and even though it’s a big kettlepot of mixed cheap flashes, stands from Poland and DIY stuff we managed to get a really good setup and the images turned out really great!
The subjects was shot against a white wall in my apartment, and the background was lit with two speedlites. One from the floor, the other one from above through a shoot-though umbrella. Our key light was a studiolamp with a softbox, filled with a reflector and a beauty-dish kicker from behind.
The photos have been subjected to a light retouch in Photoshop, even though its very subtle to suit the purpose of the photo.
I’ve added some of the best shots of the day below – and we’ll definitely do it again someday.

Actually we shot Christian Møller on a separate day, and he let us play around with the lighting afterwards, so we ended up doing a clam-shell lighting. This photo is photoshopped a bit more – but I really like the outcome!
